Camp
Programs
| Since 1921, Camp Duncan has
provided safe, quality camping programs for boys and girls aged 7 to 15 and
Teen Adventure Camps for 15 to 17 year olds. We offer a personalized approach to
each child. Our grounds are spacious with 278 acres of gently rolling terrain.
All activities are geared to the developmental level of the campers. Our emphasis is
always on helping children grow in spirit, mind and body while having fun. |
 |
There are many ways
campers have fun
while developing self-confidence: master the high ropes course, improve
swimming skills,
discover blobbing, climb the tower, sing around a campfire, paddle a canoe, and make new
friends. The session goes by so fast because there is so much to do! |
All activities promote
confidence, cooperation, and best of all are loads of fun!
- swimming
- row boating
- high ropes
- climbing tower

that!"
-Mrs Reyes

Parent & Camper Comments
1. I was a
bit nervous sending my daughter to Camp Duncan for her first time. When we
arrived the first day, the butterflies went away due to the way the camp is run.
Everyone is so helpful, friendly and the camp is very clean. – Mrs. Tetzlaff
2. After dropping off our daughter on the first day, we left feeling totally
confident that it would be a wonderful experience. Thanks to the wonderful camp
staff. – Mrs. Meyer
3. Camp Duncan very much exceeded our expectations for our daughter Nicole. We
are looking forward to next summer! - Mrs. Hooper
4. On the postcard Sam sent home to me it said, “Dear Mom, I am a blue chip for
the first time. Blue Chip is the highest swimming rank. Thank you for sending
me. PS-Make sure to feed my birds.” IT doesn’t get any better than that! -Mrs
Reyes
5. Every year Camp Duncan impresses our family with constant improvements and
their relationship with our kids. – Mrs. Niese
6. Many of my friends send their kids hours away to camp- they have similar camp
experiences as my daughter did at Camp Duncan. Why travel so far when there is a
terrific camp right here in Chicagoland’s own “backyard”! – Mrs. Snead
7. Letting your child experience overnight camp at Camp Duncan is just one more
small, supervised, safe staff in the direction of the goal as parents of
learning to exist in society, independently. -Mrs. Fletcher
8. Camp Duncan is the best camp ever..I wish I came sooner! Kristina Welke-camper
9. I was a little concerned that my daughter would be homesick while away at
Camp Duncan for 2 weeks and it worried me that she might become sad. When camp
was over, there were certainly tears in her eyes- she had been crying because
she didn’t want camp to be over! IF I had to see tears, these particular ones
made me smile – Lisa Wick- mom
10. Our son had a wonderful first time experience at Camp Duncan. His counselors
were first-rate role models and “very cool”, as were is cabin mates. As parents,
we felt our son had a wholesome experience- it left us nostalgic for our Y-camp
days. –Molly & Matt Galo
11. Camp Duncan is an extension of the school learning experience except it
takes place outdoors. They have easy going and fun staff and challenging
programs that keep my daughter coming back. She has already started planning for
camp before we leave the camp property on check-out day. --Mrs. Edna Vidaurre
12. My son has been to Camp Duncan for 4 years and is already talking about
“when I am a counselor at Camp Duncan….” -Mrs. Chameli
